The Costa Valencian stretches from Sagunto in North to Oliva in South. The coast North is called Costa de Azahar and the coast area to the south is called Costa Blanca. The largest city is called Valencia.

The coastline is low with many sandy beaches. Only at Cullera you have mountains arriving all the way to the coast. Else the mountains are parallel to the coast in a distance, but clearly visible all along. Once you enter the region with mountains there are only few roads. The main centre for activity is the coast line.

The coastal towns and beaches have only caught little interest among foreign tourism. There are however very fine beaches, especially south from Valencia. Here the beach of Oliva is the best known. A place with many camping sites, but also smart new developments and golf courses as Oliva Nova
