The Costa Azahar stretches from Benicarlo in North to Burriana in South. The coast North is called Costa Dorada and the coast area to the south is called Costa de Valencia. The largest city is called Castellon de la Plana.

The populated area is here as well the plains along the coast. The interior is mountainous and sparsely populated.

The area is rich on history remains from the Romans, Carthaginians and the Temple order that had a stronghold here, until the order was ended by the Pope.

Driving along the coast you will see more orange trees than ever before. Sometimes you will pass through plantations kilometre after kilometre.
