Vilanova is situated 10 Km South of Sitges. In this place there is only little development for mass tourism. During the summer month you will mainly find Spanish on vacation here. Vilanova is the capital of the region called El Garraf. It has a rich history dating back many centuries. The economy originally based on agriculture and wine trading, has now become more diverse to adopt to modern times. The town has a rich cultural life, and has many sports facilities to offer. Sailing and golf to be mentioned. You can easily become lost in the labyrinth of streets, where many are quite narrow. Trying to get to the beach with a large auto camper is not a god idea unless you have local knowledge, besides you will be met with parking restrictions. |
