The Costa Garraf stretches from Barcelona to
the North, to Vilanova i la Geltrú to the South. The coast to the North is called Costa
Maresme and the coast
area to the south is called Costa Dorada. The largest city in this area
is Barcelona
The cost has several large sand beaches, especially in the Barcelona
South area. After a rocky patch you arrive to the beaches of Sitges and
Vilanova.
The Costa Dorada stretches from Vilanova i la Geltrú to the North to Alcanar
to the South. The coast North is called Costa Garraf and the coast
area to the south is called Costa Azahar. The largest city in
this area is Tarragona
The Costa Dorada has more than
500.000 hotel beds and receive close to 4000.000 visitors a year. The
area is known for its many fine sand beaches.
