The capital of Lanzarote Island. Of interest to visit. The the main street called Calle Real,  where shops alternate with places of entertainment. Not a tourist destination as such.

Seaside resort on North part of Lanzarote, where there is a variety of good quality accommodation, some right on the coast, some a few hundred yards away. The village has all the requirements for a peaceful holiday, local bars and restaurants with a safe sandy beach.

The charm of an old Canarian fishing village. With half a dozen restaurants and a couple of bars. Quiet place on Lanzarote North coast.

Three kilometres from Puerto del Carmen. Largest beache. Water front promenade. There are three commercial centres, with  a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops. A peaceful resort  with many elegant hotels and aparthotels.

Smaller resort  in the south of the island with very good beaches. Centre of the town has retained much of its original fishing charm. A ferry departs to the town of Corralejo on Fuerteventura.

10 minutes drive from the Airport at Arrecife. Small,  village situated on the beach is approx 15 minutes drive away from the main tourist centre of Puerto del Carmen. There is a  selection of restaurants along the beach front promenade

On the southern cost of Lanzarote. The oldest and best-known holiday resort. Two merging areas: its original downtown area of La Tiñosa which unfolds around the old fishermen's port  and the new part which has been developing along the 5 km long sandy beach and water front promenade. Matagorda is close to Puerto del Carmen, but a lot more relaxed and quiet. It is a recent development and thus contains a very high standard of modern accommodation. The resort contains one commercial centre, with many restaurants,  and shops.  Within five minutes one can be in the busy resort of Puerto del Carmen.
