Corralejo is situated in the North
East part of Fuerteventura. It is a town with tourist activity
and water
sports, such as scuba diving, windsurfing, surfing
and water skiing.
The distance to
Fuerteventura airport is 48 kilometres.
The beaches are named Corralejo ( also named Waikiki
), 200 metres long sand beach. South from the town
you find El bajo negro beach, which is a 500 metres long sand beach. In the
surrounding area you find sand
dunes as well.
The center of the town is a fishing port, from here there are boats to
nearby volcanic island of Lobos. Which sits facing the coastline of
Corralejo, and has been declared a nature reserve.
