Deauville is situated on the Normandy coast between Honfleur and Blonville sur Mer to the south. It is has a small tidal harbour. The photo above shows the tidal part at low water. There is a beach as well.

Parking is very difficult to find if you like to visit the beach, and you must pay. Auto campers was seen  parked next to the harbour wall on the Northern side.

There are several camping sites in the area, but the roads are quite narrow, and crowded during the summer.

However Deauville is a classic place, with Casino and horse racing track, and some very impressive houses in the town and in the surrounding landscape.
