The entrance to the camping site, Municipal Cap Leucate. There is a large parking in front of the entrance where you can wait if the office is closed. Which it normally is mid day.

It is a reasonable priced camping site, very popular for surfers and others bound for Spain.

If you are arriving from the A9, then as you get near Leucate town, do not pass through town. Follow the signs to Port Leucate, and you will drive around the town.

Once you are on the other side of Leucate town follow the sign to Leucate beach. If you miss it you need to drive 5 Km down the coastal road to Port Leucate and turn there.

The sign to Leucate beach is at a roundabout, and it takes you onto a parallel road to the principal road.

200 metres before you get to the beach you find the camping Municipal Cap Leucate .

By the beach there are several large parking areas. Some of it reserved for auto campers. If you turn left along the water front you get into some rather narrow roads with houses . Turn right to get to the parking areas. Turn just opposite the small church. You should have the camping site, Mer Sable Soleil, on your right side now and a parking on your left. Follow the road 200 metres and you are at the parking area for auto campers.

When you depart from the camping, and if you want to drive towards Port Leucate, then you need to follow the parallel road 1 Km. in the opposite direction to the roundabout. It is not possible to make a left turn from Leucate beach onto the coastal road.
