Soulac Syr Mer, is situated just South of the Girone Atlantic coast. The beach, as you can see on the photo above, is enormous at low water. On the waterfront and in the main street, you have a good selection of restaurants and bars. Also a Casino is situated here.

The town itself is very charming. It has its own church, indoor market, many small restaurants and cafe's. A pedestrian street with a selection of shops. Tourist office with internet and Wi-Fi. Banks with ATM's.

Along the coastal road running south, D101 E1, some 2 kilometres  away, you can see a sign leading to a small surf school on the beach. There is a beach sailing school as well. 

In this area, a short distance further down the costal road, you find a camp site with direct access to the beach.
