Messanges is situated  7 Km North of Vieux Boucau les Bains. It is a popular beach for surfing.

 By the end of September the life guard station was unmanned. Swimming is then prohibited. 

On the sand dune top by the entrance to the beach, you find a small cafeteria, and a surf school. ( opened during season only )

There is a quite large parking. At the entrance there is a boom. Anything taller than a VW type can not enter.

Outside the boom, there is space for auto campers. A sign is informing how long you can stay. It seemed to read 48 Hr.

Only 3 auto campers were staying here. You are in the middle of a small forest, 2 Km. from the village of Messanges
