Carcans beach,
 Map, is
situated 12 Km. North from Lacanau Ocean beach. It is only a handful of
houses. Some restaurants, a surf club and some surf shops.
There is a large
parking. It was seen used by several auto campers, and there is a public
wc.
It was middle September and very quiet, apart for a surf school giving
lessons on the beach.
There is a large camp site just next to the parking. It should be opened
until mid or the end of October. And as such a alternative to the camp
sites in Lacanau Ocean, which are closing towards the end of September.
There is also a smaller parking on the south
side. This is useful if you have to bring your surfboard to the beach.
By mid September there were hardly any people around. Everything was
very quiet. |
