Rungsted Yacht marina is situated on the Sealand coast in the are called The Sound.
It is also the home of the Royal Danish Yacht club.

On photo to the right you can see the club house. It contains a restaurant as well. More restaurant are situated along the waterfront . During the summer you will find this an nice place to visit during the day or evening.
Bus and train connects this area with Copenhagen 20 Km. away.

 

The surrounding sea area is quite protected. The prevailing winds are West. This is offshore here.
This makes it a perfect area for any type of yachting, and especial during the week ends you will see a large concentration of white sails.

Today the building material is mainly fibre glass. The time and cost to maintain  a wood yacht is simply getting to high.
The house of the writer Caren Blixen, called Rungstedlund is 3 Km away. It is now a museum.
