Roedvig
harbour is an important stop for smaller yachts heading south from
Copenhagen. There is a section for fishing vessels and a section for
yachts. The marina is well equipped to receive visiting yachts. Map
Next
to the harbour there is a bay with a beach with some sandy patches, but
mainly small stones. The nearby parking is often used by windsurfers
preparing their equipment.
Further along the white cliffs of Stevns are visible.
Only
a short distance from the yacht marina you can find a small museum
displaying old ship engines. Mainly the types used in fishing vessels.
Opening hours are limited and only during the summer month. Several of
the engines are however placed outside the building.
There is also a small shipyard. One of the few yards left with
facilities for the old type wood fishing vessels that used to fill the
harbour and bring wealth to this small costal town.
