Kandestederne, is  situated on the West coast of the Northern tip of Denmark. It is less than 10 Kilometres across to Kattegat sea on the other side. Surrounded by water is creating a  special light. You will notice at once. The sky looks different.

This effect has been used by artists since hundred of years. Specially painters. The most well known Danish paintings are from this area.

There is a ramp so cars and RV's can drive onto the beach. Very convenient if the day is not too windy. Camping as such is not allowed and parking during the night time not permitted. Look at the signs at the entrance.

As you drive up and down the coast, the parking rules are chancing as you move from one county to the next. It is the local government that decides who can park where, how long and so on.
