Guldborg yacht marina is situated at the north part of the waterway separating the island Falser and Lolland. The bridge will open for yachts on demand, between sunup and sundown. If to late for the opening, you can anchor, but beware that a strong current is sometimes found here. It is then possible to sail all the way to the Baltic Sea. More than 100 years ago Guldborg was an important trading post. Since a steam ship route from Copenhagen to Nykoebing Falster was passing here. Still you can find the houses of the post office, telegraph, custom and the hotel. It is now all residential property. The area was well known for its apple farms. The photo shows the waterway towards Nykoebing. Further south it is becoming more narrow.
 

Visiting yachts can dock on the outside of the pier and await the harbour masters instructions. You will find the usual facilities, and a cafeteria style restaurant. There is a camping site not far from the yacht marina.
