Follow
the old costal road between Copenhagen
and Helsingoer. You will pass several
small harbours. Skovshoved, Taarbaek, Vedbaek, Rungsted, Nivae,
Espegaere. This is old
local fishing harbours, now converted to yacht harbours. Near Rungsted
you get to the home of the writer Caren Blixen. Near Espegaere you find
to the museum of modern art, Lusianna.

Helsingor
has several ferries to Sweden. Also here you find the castle
Kronborg,
used in the play, Hamlet, by Shakespeare. The shipyard has been closed
many years ago. In the harbour you can find several vessels used for
fishing day trips. Also you often can see vintage sailing vessels here.

If
you continue driving, you arrive to the north coast of Sealand. This is
one of the most expensive and popular vacation areas near Copenhagen.
However you do not find any concentration of hotels. This area is built with the
typical Danish, summer cottage, owned by private individuals. Manny of
these are up for rent during the summer. The local tourist office has

North West winds, You find many surfers near Hornbaek harbour and
Gilleleje Harbour. |
|
There is train connection from
Copenhagen to Helsingoer. Here you can go on with local train to
Hornbaek and Gilleleje. |
